Abnormal Testosterone Levels?

Serious post from me for once (Apologies, normal service will be resumed shortly! lol)
After having some recent blood tests I was asked to go in to see the GP.
It turns out that my testosterone levels are ridiculously high and he wants to refer me to a consultant as he has not seen levels like this before. Basically he said that a man should have levels between 8 and 28, with 35 being only a a very small percentage of the population, yet mine is 45!!!
Anyway this got me thinking, do we think that our choice of lifestyle is influenced by our chemical make up? Plus has anyone else had similar readings regarding their testosterone levels? |

The levels don't match what you've been told, not sure what units the testosterone results were given to you in as I'm not a doctor, but it's an interesting article and might point you towards an answer of sorts.
As for hairiness - elevated testosterone levels correlate with male pattern baldness I'm afraid. |

I think we are in a Fahrenheit/centigrade situation here, just found this that ought to make it a bit clearer:-
Testosterone levels higher than 1000ng/dl or 35nmol/L are generally considered "significantly above normal" for men.
Going above that mark means you're somewhere in the top 2.5% of all men. The bottom 2.5% would put you below 250ng/dl or 9nmol/L serum testosterone.
For the average male, 1000ng/dl corresponds to about 150mg to 200mg of supplemental testosterone per week, depending on the individual's metabolizing ability.
After witnessing many firsthand reports, going well above higher than normal testosterone dosages can produce profound effects on mental and physical abilities.

Sorry urban myth, mpb is genetic not hormonal
"
isnt it something to do with maternal granfather ie if your mothers father is bald you will inherit the gene - this does not apply to daughters |

" I think your both right because mpb is caused by a negative hormone related to testosterone and logicaly you get your makeup from genetics so there's no reason for both not to be right....yes my levels are high so iv done my homework! I don't wanna go bald! |

1) Urban legend not myth - myths deal with gods etc. legends are stories.
2) 5DHT is thought responsible for the majority of the damage along with genetic susceptibility.
Wouldn't argue that heritability is key, however, testosterone levels not irrelevant either |

As our genes are responsible for our body's composition, including the production of hormones etc, then the hormonal influence could be said to be genetic.
Dihydrotestosterone seems linked to baldness, and this is produced from Testosterone. Drugs that stop this conversion, such as Propecia, seem to illustrate how balding can be slowed. It doesn't mean that a person didn't inherit genetics that made them more predisposed to balding, or other conditions etc, just that the root cause is likely genetic and the day to day cause is likely due to DHT activity. |

If you are genetically predisposed to mpb, elevated testosterone levels (naturally or artificially raised) can speed it up.
If you aren't prone to it, test levels won't affect it.

I have a huge sex drive but sadly Siren's doesn't match it. I get intensely frustrated if I haven't cum for 24 hours and have to release it the only way I can if she's not in the mood. I've never had my testosterone measured so it could be that. How does one go about it? |

this is true.
I prep bodybuilding athletes for a living and have been a user myself of AAS for 20 years, mpb is very much down to genetics and predisposition, tales of things such as high test levels (amongst many other things incurred from aas use) are by and large myth.
My own hair pattern follows that of my mothers father,he is in his late 80's,i am late 30's (head completely shaved so it makes no odds to me and am a handsome cunt regardless lol) but i know many guys out there in their late 60's with test levels 10 times what they should be due to AAS use and still have thick full head of hair, and so do their fathers, and fathers fathers etc etc. |
