I have a question for the collective.

Is a profile better if its to the point with what you want and want you can give or wordy and vague on what you want or can give.

any feedback gratefully received

There’s no right answer, different people like different things. I would say to try and create a very accurate picture of you, what you want and what you can offer , in as few words/pictures as possible . This is like the bad cv , the genetic one you would never actually send, so it’s tough to write, your messages are your real cvs

Honesty is the best policy from the beginning in my eyes. So many on here lie and for me that’s a no go and always get caught out

A blank profile labelled Female will still get hundreds of messages.

Male profiles. You can either write a vague profile, that is unlikely to either offend or stand out. Lots of messages, but mostly not what you want.

Or

Write a detailed profile, laying out your desires and abilities.

Not many messages, but probably a better quality, more likely to lead to something.

I went the latter route.

Well yours is a decent length but in general a paragraph or three will always attract more (many people do read). Conversely for a woman the longer and more specific a profile is the less messages you will get.
