Tattoos are permanent (Well mine haven't washed off and they've been there years )

Temporary suggests maybe henna??

But the whole concept isn't one I'm familiar with so is this a new fad?

Queen of spades to indicate a preference for black men is nothing new. It’s particularly popular with some hotwife / cuckold couples - you’ll see a lot of those accounts mentioning it and an awful lot of single male accounts that are black men playing to it with variations on ace of spades or king of spades etc.

Some like it. Some don’t.

Personally I don’t need a label to have a preference for black men!

You can get semi permanent tattoos from the tattoo shop/parlour. The ink fades away after a few months i believe. I would imagine it would start to look naff when it starts to fade though.

Some of the pictures I've seen look more like transfers than real tattoos though, like the tattoos transfers you used to get as a kid.

In your bed

I'd caution about getting anything permanent.

At the moment I'd say reaction to such a tattoo is about 50/50 with some thinking it's a bit of fun others would be more concerned about the origins.

The way the world is going I can only see the origins of such a phrase becoming more problematic.

There is nothing wrong with having an attraction or sexual preference but the origins of the word spade may not always be without controversy so I would suggest getting something temporary and for that Google is your friend.

Personally wouldn’t bother with a QoS tattoo! There are very mixed opinions on them within the black community from what I know, some love them and some hate them. Maybe something less permanent like jewellery with the QoS symbol on or something? Ultimately it’s your wife’s body and her choice, but I’d advise against it! You can still have a preference for black men and women without getting it tattooed on your body

Hey! Hope everyone is well this evening.

First things first, so we're all singing off the same hymn sheet, Black people aren't a monolith so my opinions are mine alone and not representative of my entire race.

Now that's clear, my personal view is that it is kind of cringe. Under a more critical 'modern gaze' the idea of a 'Queen of Spades' is rather problematic...

I wouldn't avoid someone with such a tattoo but then I wouldn't make a beeline to them either though many would.

Quite a few people are saying similar things on this thread so I'll add that whilst it isn't ideal (for myself) it wouldn't be a complete deal-breaker either maybe but probably seems far, far easier to avoid any need for needles and just use a transfer/wear a necklace than to PERMANENTLY tattoo said preference on your skin till the end of time.

P.s saying you like Black men rather than 'BBC' works just fine.

Although I agree with this 100%, there are a number of black men who take the BBC description with pride and cannot see the issues. They see it as harmless fun. Similar to when POC use the N word it makes it very difficult to explain to certain white people why these terms are just plain wrong.

If that’s on their terms then more power to them! I’m all about that. It’s similar to women reclaiming the word slut.

But I was talking about predominantly white men and white women using the term to describe black men. It’s not something that sits well with me personally.

Not to mention the fact not all black men are well endowed.

For me, if a black man is well endowed I’d rather say he has a BBC than say he is a BBC. To me, as a white woman, it’s a subtle but important difference.

When women go on slut walks and reclaim the word slut, it is not so that they can be called sluts or other women to be called sluts. It is on order to make the point that who a woman sleeps with and how many (or how little) is nobody's business other than there own. It is done to oppose stereotyping of women, particularly as shown in claims by defendants in cases of r@pe.

When black men call themselves BBC they are playing up to the stereotype in order to get laid. By doing so it creates a legacy of people thinking it is acceptable to call other black men BBC and that all black men on the scene are there to be fetishised.

Therefore there is a big difference between the two situations one is opposing stereotyping the other is pandering to it.

In regard to your other point all they need to do is state "well endowed" or let a picture or verifications do the talking.

Please don’t mansplain the concept of reclaiming and being empowered by using the term slut to describe yourself (which FYI is a thing - I wasn’t referring to slut walks at all in my comment). I wouldn’t dream of trying to tell you your understanding of why some men do or don’t use certain terms relevant to black people is wrong.

If you’d like to to understand more about women reclaiming and using the word slut, I’d suggest reading the Ethical Slut is a great starting point.

As already answered you can get loads of temporary stickers/tattoos from Amazon or get a henna pen and do your own...

Mine are all permanent and done by a lovely female tattoo artist locally. If your wife is dedicated to black guys we think it's only right you show some dedication to the guys that you have that preference for with something permanent and visible.

I know plenty of people don't like them on here but never had someone take offence in person in person in the lifestyle.

I don't feel ashamed of my tattoos when people notice them, just tell them it means I like black guys... Not embarrassed to fancy black guys and my family and friends know that.

People have a right to use whatever terms they like, others have a right to voice their opinion on it. If folk are referring to black guys as 'spades' they should expect some fallout and questions about racism.

Race play is a fetish just as, for example, cnc, and I'm not one to kink shame. I don't think the majority of QoS tattoo owners are sporting them as part of a race play scene though. A disappointing amount seem to either be ignorant of language or worse, just don't care.

Whilst I'm here, the opposition to QoS Vs BBC is a subtly different one imo.

I didn't realise we went back to the 1970s where calling black people spades was a done thing. Whatever next gollywogs?

It has so many racist and power connotations, Spade has been a derogatory term for black people as long as i have been alive and proclaiming to be royalty suggests a dominance over them.

I saw on the news the other week that pubs called the black boy were being slated but somehow being the queen of spades is accepable?

The mind boggles!

Personally I feel it's perfectly appropriate to highlight language and behaviour which people might be using unaware of the social significance and history attached to that language/behaviour, what they choose to do with that information is a matter for them.

The term 'spade' is deeply offensive to black people, so why use it when there are so many other ways to express a preference for black men.

The other issue is acceptance of such language brings it acceptance into common parlance.

You and I have debated this subject for as long as I have been on Fab....

While you are correct.... the term spade is highly offensive.... it is a acceptable term used in the porn industry.....

Now can you imagine a political correction porn industry?

Imagine searching for images and videos without terms like BBC, BBW, QOS?

In essence that’s what you are advocating for?

This post wasn't aimed at me but you didn't address my previous post so I'm just going to go ahead and tackle this one anyway.

Where is the evidence/example that the term 'spade' is an acceptable term in the porn industry? I watch a lot of porn (ikr) and I've never heard a black guy called a 'spade'. It's a racist term.

You group the acronyms BBC, BBW and QoS together, yet only one of those contains a racial slur.

'BBC' is reductionist but I can kinda give leeway in a fetish sense.

'BBW' is similar, albeit less reductionist and more descriptive (Perhaps not, it's a difficult subject).

'QoS' contains a racial slur and, outside of a consenting race play scene (which let's be honest, isn't the case in near every example on the fab forums) is rightfully challenged.

I just want to repeat my original question here, where is calling a black person a 'spade' acceptable or common in porn?

Ignorant or willfully indifferent, which are you?

If I was to meet someone that didnt want me to wear it then I wouldnt. However most guys I have spoken to have said they like my photos that show the tattoo.

Ignorant or willfully indifferent, which are you?"

It’s an interesting point.

I had never come across the term spade (apart from the gardening implement) until I became involved in the swinging lifestyle. Whilst I’m not saying it isn’t sometimes used as a racist slur, I don’t think it’s all that common. Or certainly not where I grew up.

I think perhaps in the lifestyle it appears to be more commonly used because of the prevalence of a preference for black men amongst some women and MF couples. I have never really seen the term used anywhere else - both the concept of QoS / AoS or the racial slur.

I’ve personally never seen it used in pornography - I think that particular niche is dominated by the term BBC to the exclusion of almost everything else.

The term spade isn't being used outside of the consenting race play space though.

I have certainly been asked and heard much worse language within the scene from and at the request of the black guys I was with.

There needs to be some separation between lifestyle and normal life. Let's be honest the two things don't really mix.

In lifestyle I am a cumslut and happy to be called and described as such but I wouldn't like to be called that at work or in the pub with my friends.

My tattoo's are the same, a symbol of submission and dedication to black guys in lifestyle and a playing card outside of it.

Sx

Being unaware of the word's racist meaning is an interesting one (it didn't occur to me that some may not know). Still, it's not just about "I see it as xyz" is it? It's also how others see it and the offence it causes.

I also don't think IR sex between swingers is race play, I was think more stuff you'd find on FL although tbf I'm no expert.

Anyway, I don't want to be too antagonistic so I'll just leave it as, the word has a racist meaning, surely we can be better.

While you are correct.... the term spade is highly offensive.... it is a acceptable term used in the porn industry.....

Now can you imagine a political correction porn industry?

Imagine searching for images and videos without terms like BBC, BBW, QOS?

In essence that’s what you are advocating for?

Here is my stance on this...... you can not come into a community and ask the majority to bow down to your standards..... the swinging scene was here before you and it will be here after you....

The term Queen of Spade is usually used to describe a tattoo or jewelry... It’s intended use is to identify a female that is looking for attention from black men.... the term spade can describe a symbol of a playing card or a gardening tool....

I have yet to hear someone call a black man a spade in the lifestyle to demean him....

So as a black man we have a choice......

If we see a female at a party wearing a queen of spade tattoo or jewelry.... we can introduce ourselves and try to build a friendship leading to sex or we can admonish her for her choice in tattoos and jewelry....

Now I don’t know about anyone else but if I’m going to a swinging party ... I’m there to have sex not a heated political debate.....

For example in China and Vietnam some people eat dog meat.... to the rest of the world that is looked down upon.... Does that mean everyone that eats dog meat hates dogs?

My point in all’s these BBC/QOS threads is this... for a small minority in the swinging community they find these terms offensive and fetishizing... which is totally in your rights to express your feelings.....

Now it is also my right to bring up the fact I have seen people eat dog meat in China and Vietnam in every Asian appreciation threads....

But would that really make people that enjoy dog meat stop eating dog meat?

I don't think it's a small minority that find the term 'spade' offensive.

I also agree and think it's weird how in the west we deem some animals ok to eat whilst others aren't. Eating beef shouldn't be seen as different to eating dog, for e.g. (disclosure, I was in a 6 year relationship with a Vietnamese vegetarian, if that makes a difference).

Every post you make just makes me wonder why I respond tbh, you just don't get it. I'm sure you're a sound guy and all but I just don't think we'll see eye to eye on this one.

Nice thread some good debates. I for one prefer to be called a black man with a BBC as I am not just a big black cock but a whole lot more. Respect to those that get it, if you don't get it you will never get it (Dave, if you know you know)

I set up a Kik group for Black men and those that love black men. #UK.bml join up

I agree with you about preferring to be called a black man, I just detest the term “BBC” altogether. I’m not here to be fetishised or objectified because us black men are more than just our penises.

P.S. I’d be up for joining your kik group if you allow other black men to join

My wife expressed a desire for black men. I did buy her some temporary tattoos, panties and an anklet. All with that emblem. I had no idea that it could be offensive. Nor did she. They were intended for a meet. I don't think they will be worn.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread. I wear a QoS tattoo at the request of the black guys I am going to meet. A lot of black guys enjoy the very public display of a white woman with her white husband showing a very public desire for black men.
