what have women got against facial hair on here?

I have noticed that too oh and ANY form of tattoo etc. I am also not ZZ top either but I would not match peoples requirements.
To pre empt everyone, again this just a personal preference thing.
However it seems that women/couples are okay to impose all kinds of restrictions on blokes, but if a bloke says "no pubic hair, slim only etc" they get labelled as fussy and too picky! |

I like the look of some facial hair on some men but if it gets near my face I will come out in a rash. I can cope with the slight redness on other parts of my body but not my face as I never know when my photo might be taken in a work situation.
Frankly, I prefer to meet people who are a little discerning and know what they like. |

I refuse to shave it off don't see why I should change for someone. Don't think they would for me. Everyone has preferences that's true just wondering if other people had the same problem |

Nor should you - it is your identity. Men often ask me for their preferences but if it doesn't meet mine then it's a no-go. There is nothing wrong with making a reasonable request but everything wrong with getting stroppy with you if you say no. Stick to your guns. |

My partner has a close-shaved beard and there's nothing scratchy about it (I love it). I have had problems with guy's stubble in the past though and one one occasion has a rash moustache for 2 days....not a good look |

Why do people concentrate on those they DON'T appeal to, opposed to those they do?!! I seriously don't get it. Is it a kind of arrogance? Only they are allowed personal preferences, but they are so highly desirable how dare anyone not meet them?!!
I also notice the snide comments: some have the attitudes of petulant brats. If they can't disguise their ugly attitudes on an open forum you can imagine what their personal messages are like.
Grow up some of you, accept what most grown ups do: no one has universal appeal! |

"For me i wont meet guys with facial hair/stubble as it really upsets my skin.
"
I don't get this kind of viewpoint from guys? Guess it's because they've never been on the recieving end of what feels like a scouring pad on your chin/inner thigh!
To those that don't understand why women don't like it - don't shave for a day or two then rub the inside of your wrist up and down your chin a dozen times - you'll soon understand!
A shave takes 5 mins FFS! |

I don't mind the look of stubble on a man (it can look quite sexy on SOME guys), but if I ever encountered anyone with it, I look like I've been beaten with a bunch of stinging nettles afterwards. |

"Thats a fair point, maybe should state that in the profile?"
Great selling point: "if you have facial hair we won't meet because the missus will rash up after kissing you"
Flattering

I guess I should add - although i've a wee bit of stubble in my pic - always comes off prior to meets - and is smooth as a babies bum - much like the inner thigh it hopes to encounter! |

I see, everyone should shave their beard, tach, goatee, stubble as it takes 5 mins???

I guess my point is that it shows you are not discriminating based on facial hair, just you have a bad experience in the past! |

Nope - like everything it's down to personal choice - but most ladies i've met really aren't keen on having to leave verifications stating "His face rubbed my lips raw and left me itching for days!" |

Interestingly, the only member of ZZ Top that doesn't have the trademark long facial fuzz, is a guy called Frank Beard!
Back to the OP....its a personal choice, like every other. If it bothers you or restricts your meets, shave it off....simple. We don't like facial hair anymore than fully thatched wiry-pubed genitalia. It's simply a personal preference. Whether it be for hygiene, aesthetics, or any other reason, its a preference and no-one is under any obligation to explain them. Accept everyone is different and enjoy life. |

I agree with most of the posts about the facial hair scratching like hell on sensitive parts.. But it is a preference. Some like it some dont. Its only like when the guys ask ladies to dress in sexy underwear, stockings etc.. I do dress sexily when i can but realy hate anyone asking me to do this.. I never ask a man to wear clothes that i like. |

How do you know that it's stubble that put people off? It could be anything. Somepeople prefer stocky builds, or tall people. or VWE, or brunettes etc etc.
I don't like blokes that use pics where a female has clearly been cut off the side. That just seems terribly indiscreet. I don't like blokes with 6 packs. I prefer to meet blokes that are taller than me.
It doesn't make me a bad person, just what I like. Same as other people have said really. |

"Stubble looks sexy.... but it feck'n hurts! I don't a big red face after "
Agrees
Ended up losing several layers of skin off my delicate parts once
Must admit I wasn't complaining at the time but the next morning it hurt like hell and looked awful. |

you're so selfish for not taking the big red face to make a man happy
Love a bit of facial hair as long as it's soft. |

"Designer" stubble is fine with me (although I guess a full on pash sesh might be a bit uncomfortable after a while - dunno, never tried it ) but full on beard or moustache - no thank you.
I just don't find it attractive. Some do, but not for me ta |

not keen on facial hair myself but dont shave it off, noone on here is worth changing yourself for its just sex you be who you are
I find a lot of guys dont like my hood piercing and have been asked quite a few times if i would remove it if we met and my answer is always no
People either take you for what you are or go find someone else |

I know two guys with what I class as a close shaven beard. Always lovely and soft. Don't think I could cope with full beard tho. No more than some men hate a forest on a lady.
Tattoos, again if they are well done and not too obtrusive, then they can look good. |

A small amount of facial hair I am okay with.. and in fact a little bit of stubble can be a turn on..
but full facial hair.. is a big no no.. prehaps for me because my dad has always had one... I dont know.. but it just does nothing for me.

As someone whose face gets like sandpaper just a few hours after shaving I think I have caused more red faces without a beard than when I have had a one in the past - when it's longer it is soft not scratchy.
One say facial hair will be trendy again and all those who are easily influenced by trends will fancy guys with big soup-strainers again - anyone remember the early 70s? Likewise for pubes, it's just a trend. All those who say "ugh, not a full bush!" would have been kind of people who said "ugh, not shaved pubes, how pervy!" 30 years ago.
