What is the etiquette regarding messaging ?
If you message someone and either get no reply or a no thank you does that usually mean that they are not interested at that time so it is okay to try again at a later date or is it best to just move on and try elsewhere.

Both 'no thank you' and no reply mean not interested.
There is nothing to stop you messaging again in the future, but it's unlikely to get a reply that time either.

Use the private note tool to remind yourself you messaged that user as many claim not to notice the "messaged x amount of time ago" or they might just block you if already said no thank you or simply deleted message |

Well you shouldn't really send more than one message if you don’t receive a reply on your first message. Some on here may get 100’s of messages and perhaps didn’t get to see your message or were not interested to reply/view your message. When you’re viewing someone’s profile, you will see at the top of you have messaged before or not (to avoid double messaging). You can also try to wink them (some people don’t check this). Either way, you should take no offence to your mail not being read/replied to and carry on your search |

Some ladies/couples get hundreds of messages each day so it's NOT RUDE FOR THEM NOT TO REPLY. If they don't reply, they're not interested: Don't mail them again. |

Just move on, we get loads of messages. Had one the other day from a guy who had already messaged us previously and was told no, I said no them again and told him he had already messaged us, didn't stop him messaging again the same day like he had never done it before. We just say no and block them now

It’s not necessarily a ‘No’ forever, but if you don’t receive a reply or just a thanks but no thanks, I’d leave it for quite a few months before I’d try again.
However if you receive a reply that quite clearly states you’re not what they’re looking for, then block and move on. |
