Hello. I just wanted to highlight a really convenient service I received for a sexual health home testing kit.
SH:24 provide free sexual health home testing kits and work in partnership with the NHS.
I found the service to very easy, quick and convenient. Kits are posted to your address, with a free return postal envelope too.
Results came within 5 days. (All negative I should add!)
In case this can help anyone else, I hope it’s ok to share the website, which is : https://sh24.org.uk/
Hope it might help. |

"I just had a look at this, they don't offer this service in our area unfortunately. "
It's definitely worth checking back in a few months. They do change and offer it in new areas from time to time.
A few years ago I couldn't access it and now I can. |

There are many agencies offering this service but not in every postcode. Just google for another.
Top tip for the women here. Most wont include a throat swab on the assumption you're playing with straight men so just alter your gender and first name on the form. |

We get postal NHS kits, no throat swab offered as yet so we buy that Superdrug online. We do full checks at clinic also and they have done our hepb course. We always use condoms but check quarterly as extra precaution. Our last check is March still valid due to no swinging lol. |

I've recently used 'Freetest.me' and they were very fast. It was around £30 that I paid.
If they deliver to me, I'm sure that they will deliver to you too! |

"How do you get your birth control pills posted to you not sure this service is available in northern ureland "
Imagine how positive it would be if everyone did this whilst in semi-lockdown.. could mean the end of STIs for good! |

They are great but the finger prick hurts lol we find it easier just to pop to the local clinic but totally get the whole privacy of having it done in your own home. |

This service has certainly been a life saver, especially as the nearest sexual health clinic for me is always packed. No need to queue up is a blessing Been using it for 2 years now , all negative |

As I said when this came up about a week ago:
What's available depends on where you live and how old you are. Different health authorities pay for different levels of testing for different age groups.
Between www.sh.uk and sh24.org.uk I managed to get all my usual screening tests for free.
If one *does* want to pay, www.test.me offers a comprehensive range of tests, including some that aren't offered on the NHS.
If you've got a spare £114, they can screen you for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomonas vaginalis, treponema pallidum (syphilis), herpes simplex I, herpes simplex II, mycoplasma hominis, mycoplasma genitalium, ureaplasm urealyticum and haemophilus ducreyi.

You paid £30? I was advised by my clinic to use freetest.me last year so I don't need to attend the clinic each time,I've never paid a penny
Maybe it depends on your area your from to whether it costs |

Yea they only cover 18-24 year olds in my area. I usually just go to the 'walk in' clinic.
But I really don't mind paying the £30 to save waiting for an appointment and then waiting for the results.
I think after paying for the test, I had my results within 1 week or so.
I will have a look into the other suggestions on here though... |

I just add a note in the comments section that I need a throat swab too and they just add it to the rest of the testing kit. Never had a problem with them not sending one.
It's a brilliant service and really quick. Much better than having to wait at the local clinic as it's only on certain days and doesn't operate an appt system last time we tried so depends how many others turn up as to how long a wait you have. |

We use CNWL’s service (central and north west London apparently) and we’re in Surrey.
A full screen is free and results are usually less than a week.
Results come by text message.
We do it every three months without fail.
Always best to be safe. |

We use the sh24 . Put a pic of it up which got approved then rejected by fab .. you would think they would leave it so ppl can be aware and it would encourage people to get tested |

"I use SH UK as that’s who my local authority have a contract to run free testing with. It’s brilliant, and having seen SH:24 before, I’m pretty sure it’s just the same in the way it works. "
My favourite part of the SH UK process is you can provide anyone you want with a direct link to specific test results, so there’s no doubt about authenticity.
Everyone should be able to access a service like that for free imo. |
