I don’t think anything happens your end. The wink gets sent to the other person and if they don’t check their winks then they’ll not see it and not act on it.
Or they may see it and still not act on it.

Why wink? Just message the person or persons if you're interested. I cant comment for others but we no longer bother winks. To many times we had them, sent a message to the sender and then nothing. |

Personally I use as an ice breaker and if someone winks back or sends a message i always respond. Just like you say i also can't comment for others but it beats typing out a well thought out message as I don't do one liners only gor it to get deleted. Thank you for your input  |
