To me/us, I'm free to play with other people as if I were single. We have a rule about honesty and transparency, but I can have sex with anyone else I want and hubby doesn't mind as long as I tell him. The term open marriage would apply to us (well me) too.

Curious to hear what people who do hotwifing think about the husband playing.
I think by definition it is a lifestyle that centres on the wife's adventures and the voyeuristic enjoyment of them by the husband, the psychology behind this is quite fascinating. In its purest it's not quite the same as enjoying seeing your partner with others (isn't that a prerequisite of swinging!) esp. when both of you are enjoying the freedom of being with others - the dynamic of hotwifing is much more set. It's also distinct from cuckolding though there is quite a lot of overlap between the two. |

Ps. I get called a hotwife sometimes because I am active and meeting alone and my husband isn't. However he is not fetishizing my activity in any way so in our case it's a mislabel. I am adding this as an example of how it is actually the underlying needs or desires that define a dynamic rather than the practice itself. |
