When all this is over I have a great opportunity to go with a friend and give him oral.
I know he will see other women (and had been) and for 30 years he’s never had an STD.
I’m just trying to sum up my risk of an STD if I give him oral - I totally appreciate it is down to chance but does anyone have thoughts on how they rationalise it when they swing etc?
I know he never does anal and I know he doesn’t see other men.
Many thanks. |

I think you can only rationalise it by playing as safely as possible, regular testing and avoiding sex with people who are unaware you swing. If you have a long term partner who isn't aware you'd probably need to avoid unprotected sex and oral with them too. That way you're being as safe as possible for yourself and other people |

There is a low risk from oral, but it is very small.
If it makes you feel any better - I've had unprotected oral and vaginal sex with all but 1 of my sexual partners and never had an STD. I know luck plays a huge part. But I wouldn't stress about oral.
You can also use condoms for oral, it's just crap lol. |

There's a really good thread on the CDC website about relative risks from particular acts. You can also look at ibase (google it) which is a sexual health website, geared mainly toward HIV.
Clearly if your mouth is full of open sores, your mate has visible ..er..discharge, shall we say, he is a bottom who receives unprotected anal, has recently been with a male partner and you decide to swallow whatever he produces, then your risks of catching an STI will increase.
Or you can 'bag up' and not really worry at all. |

Really appreciate your thoughtful reply - thank you (I’ve written the same to each but I do mean it to you all). |
