Rather than throw old sex toys in the bin, is there somewhere in the UK that will recycle them sustainably?

I think the usual rules apply OP. Break stuff down into component parts and take to a recycling centre. Batteries, metal, fabric etc. Some stuff won't recycle but just ask at the tip. You only need to say what the material is (e.g. rubber) and not that it's a sex toy.

A d*unken pub conversation pre lockdown led to the discovery that the naughty wife of a mate returned them to love honey for recycling

Make a modern art sculpture out of them and who knows in 100 years time it might be on the antiques road show

Anything buzzy can be returned to Love honey under the rabbit amnesty scheme. You don't have to have bought it from them originally, you don't even have to give your details, just add a note to say you're sending it for recycling.

They don't take anything non-electrical though, no fleshlights or dildos.

I have been dying to ask this! Put it as an update once and was grossed out at how many man asked to buy what I want rid of.....I mean wtf! Why would anyone want to buy broken/no longer fit for purpose sex toys

I would gain a double door in space by getting rid but kinda felt it was a bit to much rubber etc just to bin

I'm fairly sure that you can post them back to their manufacturers for recycling.

Also, I think Ann Summers shops and Lovehoney will also recycle your items for free.

As someone who pretty much googles anything I'm unsure about, I'm shocked at myself for not doing that sooner! Found this which lists a few company's to help

Why bother posting them back for recycling or going to the tip do as I do and wait for the neighbours to put their bin out then place them in the top of their bin.
