Reporting COVID meet profiles

I am getting tired of seeing more and more profiles actively wanting to meet during this pandemic. Some people really do believe the rules do not apply to them.

What I find even more frustrating is the fact we are encouraged to report profiles that are looking for such meets during this time, yet, when they get reported nothing happens!

NUMEROUS times now I have been blocked by profiles I have reported even if I haven't even engaged in conversation with them. Which leads me to wonder.....

1 - Is the reporting really anonymous? It is almost as if the profiles in question know who has specifically reported them.

2 - Are warnings actually given to them? Repeated offenders just don't care! Why aren't they getting blocked?!

3 - Why should those being sensible be punished for the idiotic behaviour of the minority? It ruins any chance of taking this place seriously if there are multiple posts and long paragraphs of advice but those who want to play by the rules are punished.

Please change my mind about this place, I am fed up of something (nothing) being done about this.

Fab does the blocking on profiles you have reported. The profile holder isnt blocking you.

"Fab does the blocking on profiles you have reported. The profile holder isnt blocking you. "

Unfortunately, these profiles are still public and active on here, it shows that if I try message them "the user has blocked you".

Don't you get the standard 'block text'?

I beleive people recieve a warning before get deleted.

If you report it blocks you. It doesn't block everyone.

Why would you want to message someone you've reported.

There are plenty of people doing things that other people disprove of report them off you want to and move on with your day.

Quite why everyone has turned into some kind of vigilante I have no idea.

Well, if I click on the profile it then says the 3 possible options as what has happened. But if I then click on send message at the side it says "user has blocked you".

It would be assuring if I knew these accounts were gone but I still see them about

Why would you try to message them? You've reported them, admin blocked both of your profiles from contacting eachother

Sorry it seems I've been misunderstood. By pressing send message, I'm trying to establish if they've been blocked/deleted because their profile is still very much public and it shows they have blocked me which makes me wonder what the point of reporting them is?

Don’t get too het up about it - at the end of the day it’s their choice and if it goes wrong they have made that decision

Many people have chosen post Cummings to do what they want and there’s no point wasting your emotional energy worrying about what others get up to

OP, I doubt admin would delete every profile that has been reported for asking to meet.

They would lose many customers and supporters.

I think they might give them a warning if they have more reports but that's about it.

Live and let live - you know you're not going to meet them. So whatever they do - it's their business. I wouldn't lose my sleep over it.

Maybe put less energy to into policing other people's behaviour.

Yeah, you aren't going to meet them, let them do what they are doing....

Actively trying to police others on a swinging website is kinda childish isn't it?

I'm not allowed to meet anyone, so you cant either *report*

Very petty imo

if people are going to meet then they are going to meet nothing fab can do about people living there life the way they want to ...fab is just a platform for swingers online and tools to meet via online but what they do in private is nothing to do with anybody fab can only patrol its website not peoples lives in real time ....

I gave up reporting. Everyone who messaged me asking for a meet is still here after I reported them, and what with the captcha sometimes refusing to work, it's just not worth the effort

Report and move on OP, no point in getting hung up on things. Let fab admin deal with them. If they carry on I'm sure their account will be removed. I would imagine they have to have a few consistent reports before taking action, otherwise it could just be someone reporting out of spite or something.

It's worth bearing in mind that the mods are having to cope with everything that is going on. If you are seeing more issues, that means that the workload is heavier.

If you review the help info about reporting, it covers the process. Everything is completely confidential. Blocks prevent contact between inappropriate people and can stop abuse, if people guess who has reported them - supporters can see who views them.

But!!!!!! Are they meaning meet as in a social within the social distancing rules??

There’s nothing in the fab rules that say you can’t meet as in a social.

Just a thought...

I’m with the Op on this one....

I bet those people looking to meet are not paying their licensing fees also....

Up on them there hills

I saw a status asking for dogging meets today, if they have this memetic mentality, blocking, reporting isn’t going to stop them.

Ask top advisors to the government.

Just concentrate on your own life OP.

If you read something in an unsolicited message you've received and you don't like the content, block the sender..

Simple really..

A single bloke on here being asked to meet in any scenario is a rather dubious statement anyway

I was just asked for a meet, I said no not during lockdown, he said government have lifted it now and you can see 6 people who aren't from your household. Is this what people actually think the new rules are??

Single men get asked to meet all the time on Fab.... it’s mostly men doing the asking though

hiding from cock pics.

I used to report people for various things, but it seems that it just blocked me from seeing their profiles.

On occasion I might not have wanted to have been blocked from seeing them, so now I don't feel it works for me personally to report people.

Indeed. It annoys me when people say "let them get on with it" as though it's justifying their actions. A bit like the rest of society who haven't taken COVID seriously, it's not always them that pay the price for selfishness.

I'm sure those turning a blind eye would be first to kick off if one of their loved ones caught the virus, died and it was traced back to someone breaking advice/rules.

ATEOTD this site is about someone making cash.... the more people on here, the more cash they make. Hence why they rarely delete or block profiles.

Reports are anonymous admin have said that they block users from each other under certain circumstances. My next post will say how admin deal with reports.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

--

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
