I've just found out that my Fab profile pic (that I've just hidden) is being used by someone on another hook up site. Should I feel as worried about this as I am? |

Does it show your face?"
Partially. Eyes covered. I'm just as concerned that other much clearer face pics I've had publicly shown from time to time may have been downloaded too. |

Short answer is no.
However I do understand your concerns. Whoever nicked your pic isn't exactly being kind and generous. He's being deceptive for a reason and using your pic to do it.
I would personally see if you could let the other site know what's going on.
But beyond that there's not much you can do about other peoples dishonourable intent. So long answer unless you can do something about it. Don't worry. |

I wouldn't be to concerned. It just shows it's a good idea to be discreet at all times. How sad must the person be who has stolen your profile?
And how disappointed is anybody going to meet them be when they see the reality? Don't worry to much.. |

It happened to me last year I found out that some shit had put a load of my piccys on a porn site WITHOUT MY CONSENT
I managed to email the porn sight including the piccys askin them to delete with immediate effect or I would report the pirn site to the police
Luckily they emailed me back the next day had removed the piccys and deleted the shits profile straight away
Even without having that Sunday university shit at the bottom some people still will do |

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and advice. I've not bothered with any kind of disclaimer on my profile as I read on Fab FAQs that they're unenforceable. I can't think of any way to trace the person on the other website. The person who told me they saw my profile pic being used can't remember the user name, so I think I'll just have to try to forget about it and be much more careful in future. |

"You could try an image search and if it's on another site it might come up
Can you recommend a good app for that?
Google reverse image search or Tineye.
A"
Thanks |

The person who told you they saw it could be fibbing, if it isn't someone you know well. |

Hmmm I hadn't considered that. Not a nice thing to do |

No it's not, I've had it a few times myself though, they claim they can't quite remember enough details to tell me where the pics are, but really it's just a means to start a conversation or wind you up a bit. |

That's basically what they said. Perhaps it was just some weird wind up? |
