Being as fed up with timewasters on here as all the other genuine people, I'm wondering if I should play them at their own game.
I don't mean arranging a meet then not turning up or calling off at the last minute with some lame excuse. What I was thinking about doing is playing along with and feeding their fantasies but just never quite promising a definite meet.
I've spotted a profile here just today that I think is 99.9999% a timewasting fake and I'm very tempted to try my idea out.
The trouble is that I know perfectly well I shouldn't because it's just wrong and I should simply ignore the timewasters or quickly put them off as I usually do....but I'm soooo tempted!
What do people think?

Think you may end up adding to the problem, but most of all you will end up frustrated by the process.... continue as you are and meet those that are genuine, it's so much more fun than teasing |

If it were an anthropological experiment to find out why they do it and what they get from it, I'd say go right ahead, and then share your findings with us! But if not, then I think it would be more of a waste of your time than of theirs. |

I dont think some of the timewasters,
ie are never going to meet anyone ever,
dont even realise it themselves being in their own little world.
Just feel sorry for them, give a moment longer to the geniune but unsuitable,
and set your own message ping pong limit before a phone call or photo.
Most messaging is pointless and misleading anyway or can be. |

"Seriously?
If you have time to waste doing that....
Don't change who you are to play someone else's tune. You really will have let them impact on you otherwise. "
Exactly what I was thinking - they're time wasters because you spend time on them. Not only would you be doing the same thing as them, you're also wasting your own time. |

Yes, I think the majority of those answering are reflecting what I really feel, i.e. I shouldn't do it.
It was just the temptation of trying to get my own back on the ones that try to string me along. Maybe when the next one gets in touch with me, I'll just keep stringing him along till he gives up....if I can be bothered, that is!

If the time-waster has no intention of ever meeting, then you are simply playing into their hands.
How can you beat someone who isn't going to turn up anyway!
Far better to ignore and move on in my opinion. |

No as you would be just stooping to their level. You are also maybe using someone who may not necessarily be a timewaster, for example, I have been called one because I dared to prefer to spend the day with my kids and not cater to someone's horny needs |
