This is a story from years ago. I used to work for a popular restaurant chain and the staff all got along really well. We socialised together and there was a real bond but then word got out head office were not happy with what we were making in terms of profit. They announced a new co manager from another branch was going to join the team. She arrived a few days later and there was immediate hostility towards Claire the new boss out of loyalty to Caroline the old boss who had her authority undermined. I was 19 and Claire was in mid 20s and really meant business. I couldn't help but be impressed by how she held herself. She was confident and sexy. The female staff hated her but I thought it wasn't fair and it was only right to be civil to her. |
