We had moved in to our house when I was a teenager and our neighbours on both sides had come and gone.
My parents were redesigning and rebuilding our house when a new couple moved in next door.
We were introduced and they had a young girl too.

We would keep seeing them day in and out and I would always be polite.
One day I was asked if I could have a spare key to look after the house whilst they went away.
I was shown in by Leslie and show around. Explained how the alarm worked and how to get in. I was shown all around the house, we had been in before for parties, then to the bedroom. I peered inside to a lovely big bed and a wardrobe with smart dresses.
