The following day I returned to my place of work, my mind all over the place, would Frank be wanting more? Should I put a stop to it all? Should I comply with Dave's request? The usual pleasantries with the secretary was in part to determine how my day was to progress. 'You've got a trip out in a little while' she told me, 'Oh?' I enquired 'Yes, Frank has an appointment at the osteopaths and has requested that you go along to help, he says he hurt his back whilst dancing yesterday'. I wandered along the corridor checking on residents before coming to the day room. Inside residents were taking to their favourite seats whilst a colleague was setting up the bingo machine, at least a trip out meant I didn't have to listen to that, I'm not keen on bingo. I decided to check on Frank, his door was open and he was sitting in his recliner as I entered. 'I hear we have a trip out' I said to him 'What's that?' he said turning up his hearing aids, I repeated myself. 'Yes, my back is still a little sore, I think I would benefit from a proper massage, taxi is due at two thirty'. No mention was made by either of us of the previous night and soon we were heading from the reception to the edge of the carpark, me offering an arm to help steady. Helping Frank into the back of the car I was surprised that the taxi driver got out to ensure the door was shut before moving to the other side of the car to open the door for me. What a gentleman I thought, but then I questioned myself as I caught him watching me climb in beside Frank. As he shut the door behind me. Frank spoke up, the driver still walking around the car to his door. 'Did you see him looking up your skirt ? I hope you've got your stockings on' as he spoke he touched my thigh finding my suspender bump 'Stop that' I hissed at Frank as the driver opened his door and got himself belted in. 'I assume you have been told where we are going?' I asked the driver 'Oh yes miss, the secretary told me' was his reply, just got to set the meter and we'll be off. Sure enough he did set his meter but he also spent several seconds adjusting his rear view mirror. 'That's better, got to be aware of what's behind' he said as he set off. Before we got to the end of the drive Franks hand had again found my knee I pushed him away noticing the driver paying rather a lot of attention to his mirror, I think he must have seen he started to speak ........................................ |
