Tom stood at the desk surveying the wedding party checking in. He was a reservations manager (otherwise know as a receptionist) for a small boutique hotel in the country. Beautiful venue, country house style so popular for weddings and receptions.

After a few months he had settled in well and became one of those go-to people you always find in any workplace. Anything that goes wrong, call Tom. Anything broken, needed a hand, someone called in sick, call Tom. Reliable, dependable and even tempered, he was a pleasure to be around. She was beautiful to look at, always very elegantly dressed and he assumed her dresses were expensive - not from Boohoo or Asos but designer, amazing heels and hair and make up immaculate.
She would come in every so often and meet with guys in the bar. If he didn't know any better, he began to think she was a high class escort. He began to look out for her and smiled at her a few times but being on reception he never spoke to her as she was never a guest and checking in. |
