Riding through Sunderland on a bus i noticed a male at the front. He was wearing grey tracksuit. He looked...lost.
Turning a corner, he looked out of the window at...a woman. She was very thin with black hair in a ponytail and holding a Primark bag.
He knocked on the window to get her attention and she turned to look at the bus. A small gust of wind blew her hair as she did this. Very much like a romantic Hollywood movie like Top Gun.
He whispered, in a very strong Sunderland accent, "I love you, man". I thought "this is very romantic. Like a Mills & Boon novel". She opened her mouth, and shouted "F*CK OFF YA PRICK. IF I FIND OUT YOU'VE SHAGGED MY MATE AGAIN I'LL KNOCK YOU OUT!!!!" She then ran up to the bus and spat at the window.
And that was a TRUE Mackem Love Story.
