I've been hard and wet for hours now.
I work every Saturday evening and Gilly usually has a night out locally. She will meet up with her brother after work and have a couple of pints.
Then, l'll get the call to pick them up and take them home, dropping bruv on the way home.
So, last night, around 10 l got the call - out she comes and jumps in the cab to go home. We picked up bruv about 100 yards from pub and dropped him at his house.
Then she tells me that her bruv's pal, Steve, had asked her to go to another pub. She excused herself though cos of work this morning.
We've known Steve for couple of years now and he's a lovely, chatty guy with wife and a 5 year old kid.
So, l asked her if she was disappointed she'd left and then she turned it round, was l cos she never? Of course, l said, but he's always just been a pal.
So l asked if she'd like to ask him to join us, again, would you she asked?
Bloody hell, instant hard on and that look in Gilly's eye tells me she's going to go for this.
I'm sure she has seen him in a new light because a fortnight ago he left the pub with a friend of Gilly's. That left us all gobsmacked!
So, on way to work today, for both of us, l suggested she text him and say sorry she never stayed out last night. And she'll make it up to him if he's out later.
She's copied 2 texts to me and it's nice and relaxed, so far.
I can't wait till later.
