I was sitting in my office going through papers when Alice, the office junior knocked on my door.

Saturday morning I was in my home office writing up a report when my phone rang.

I answered it. Shaun.

I stayed calm and said "Hi Shaun"

"Why are you going to see Callum today?" he demanded

"I need to talk to him about the appeal and because of court this week I had to do it today," I explained, pleased that I had covered my tracks correctly.

"Hmmmm," he replied, "make sure you're in Sunday morning". With that he hung up on me.

Bastard.

I got myself showered and dressed to visit Callum. I printed my visitor pass and climbed in my car.

When I arrived I was waved through to the security area. I parked up and went inside. The guard recognised me and checked me through quickly. "It's the usual meeting room ma'am," he said.

I went down the corridor and into the room. Callum stood up as I entered and I felt myself flush.

He pulled me into him and kissed me, deeply and passionately and I returned his kiss equally passionately.

I pulled away and faced Callum. "Tell me something Callum, is that ALL true about him?" I looked him straight in the eye, "I MUST know"

"A hundred per cent, and I can prove it all if necessary," he replied

We discussed his appeal first and then everything in his email.

I was confident that his appeal was going to be successful; and if he was released, I would be able to have him onside and working with me to implement my plan.

Things were looking up, but I then remembered that Shaun was coming round the following morning...

I spent the rest of my Sunday going through Callums email, making notes and forumlating my ideas.

About 8 o'clock a knock came on the door. I put the chain on and peered round. The guy who was round the other day, Mike, stood there.

"are you alone?" I asked. He nodded so I took the chain off and let him in.

I told him to make himself at home and offered a glass of wine, which he accepted.

"So, what can I do for you?" I asked

He looked uncomfortable before he spoke. "I know Shaun brought me here without your consent, but I really enjoyed your company and thought I would pop to see if we could...you know"

I smiled and nodded, "yes, I know"

He flushed slightly which amused me, but I didn't let on.

We spent the evening chatting and before he left he asked if he could see me again. I nodded, but told him he needed to be careful of Shaun.

He was aware of this and left without so much as a touch. I was impressed by this.

I sat back on the sofa and a text message appeared. "Why was Mike there?"

From Shaun.

He was either watching me or having me watched. My tummy clenched in fear...this was getting frightening

I slept fitfully that night, my mind was stirring by Shaun's text.

When I awoke I had a headache and felt rough which was not good as I had a full day in court ahead.

I made coffee and toast so I could take some painkillers, and was going through some court papers when my phone bleeped.

Shaun.

Again.

"Why didn't you answer my text last night? What did Mike want"

I was worried, but had to park it for work.

I drove to court and was faced with a family full of hatred towards me because I was prosecuting their "prodigal son" and they subjected me to a few unpleasant words.

I was jittery as it was, I didn't need this shit.

The case was not going to be solved in one day so I liaised with the Police to have someone in attendance, then probably into the courtroom.

I scanned my eyes around and my heart missed a beat when I spotted Shaun sitting in the public gallery. He glared at me and I was visibly shaken by this as one of the court staff came and asked if I was okay.

I got through the day without too much disruption, and as I made my way into reception, Shaun appeared by my side. "You're not answering my texts bitch," he hissed

"Can't you see I've been otherwise occupied today," I spat back and carried on walking. As I got outside the building, I felt his hand on my shoulder.

"I'm coming home with you," he said, "We need to sort this out"

I didn't want to make a scene in public so walked towards my car with him by my side, all the time wondering how I could manage this to my advantage, and not coming up with too much immediately. My heart was racing and my palms clammy but I tried not to let him know as I pulled out of the carpark and began the thirty minute drive home...

Shaun sat next to me in silence which was almost as bad as if he were screaming and shouting at me.

For more than an hour they both proceeded to do whatever they wanted to me ... Again against my better judgement I was enjoying what they were doing but I was still frightened because of the overall situation.

I had to put Callums input into action.
