Seems like the forum police chose to take it down because some people were making nasty comments ( I’d have thought the right thing to do would be to remove/ban those making the comments) |

That would be the right thing I reported the bad comments on that story and received a 24 hour forum ban for commenting that unwanted statuses aren’t wanted.  |

Mods never disclose publicly the reason for bans however a message is always sent explaining why a ban has been given.
Incidentally it is also against forum rules to publicly dispute a specific mods decision. If you have a problem with a specific decision contact admin from the CONTACT button.
