You’re Words… My Thank You
Again you overwhelm me,
As you so often do,
This time it’s here in writing,
You’re words in thought of me.
I’m smiling from the inside,
It shows upon my face,
My eyes well up with water,
You’re words start to embrace.
My face begins to flush now,
As I read it three times more,
Emotion, thought and feeling,
You’re words race through my mind.
Such a joy to see much more,
Of the creative side of you,
Affecting me the way you have,
You’re word’s cause butterflies.
A piece that’s written beautifully,
The only one I have,
Expressed with understanding,
You’re words, those words mean everything.
I have to tell you that I loved it,
And ALL it represents,
Appreciate the time you took,
You’re words at my request.
I need to let you know I’m proud,
And that I see your pride for me,
I’d shout it from the roof tops,
You’re words inspire me.
I want to tell you I feel blessed,
To have you a part of my life,
To think that it all started with,
You’re words placed on a page.
I’m also saying that I am sorry,
For making you wait so long,
It was never my intension,
You’re words deserving my response.
I hope this brings a smile,
To that handsome face of yours,
And touches you as deeply as,
You’re words have hit my core.
This is me saying ‘Thank You’,
For expressing all and the way you have,
Our connection felt so strongly in,
You’re words in thought of ‘US’.
