One Xmas party at my husband company could take a long to it who we liked

so told a guy was seeing at the time with us on the way back home after having a few drinks got in to the car with this guy as my husband drove home the drive was about 30 minutes

Don't want to sound like the grammar police, but I had to read that 3 times. A few commas, and full stops, wouldn't go amiss.
