Not the hotel bar but we are just back from holiday. One night were out at a bar and my wife went to get some drinks.

I used to work in a hotel. The most common guest name is Mr and Mrs Smith! I feel sorry for any genuine smiths as the staff will always be suspicious!!

This is one of our fantasies which we have yet to fulfil as we don't really get the chance for overnights away these days.

It certainly adds a new dimension to a city break.
I felt very self conscious escorting a man up to our room. Even more self conscious when he directed me to leave him alone with my wife and to sit on my own in the bar until I was told I could return to the room. |

We have done this a lot (not nearly enough though) although usually with guys we have arranged to meet rather than just picked up. I travel the UK & Ireland(North & South)regularly on business and stay in city centre hotels where I have had some real fun nights.

I stay away from home an awful lot in my job and have done for many years.
Invariably I end up with little conversation with anyone other than the occasional boring (and male) office furniture sales rep, or similar.

I used to stay away regularly on business in the North East and got to know the couple who run hotel very well through chatting when in bar. They used to say the always felt sorry for business people on their own especially having to eat dinner alone to.
