I saw the Ad in a local freepaper.I was 21 and had seen the odd contact mag.[This was the early 70s] The ad read" Couple both 40 would like to meet younger male for friendship etc.".
I replied and we made contact and arranged to meet in the Commando pub in South Shields.
The night of the meet arrived and I was as nervous as hell.I looked around the lounge bar and spotted 3 or 4 couples who could have fitted the bill but before I could make a move a couple waved me over and asked if I was Peter. The were Ann and Ted,so we had a drink or two and got to know each other.Ted the suggested that we make a move to their place which was about 5 miles away towards Gateshead. TBC. |
