I can live with myself

So there I was resting my poor feet having a coffee after late night shopping and this guy stops by at my table and says, "hi". I was in no mood for company and looked up at him ready to give him one of my stern scowls. But that smile totally disarmed me. All I managed was a "hi"; he asked if he could sit down as all the other tables were taken and mine had three chairs free

He was tall, blond, green eyes and a looked a bit geeky. I said yes and he sat down, took out his tablet and started taping out something on it. I wish he would talk to me; that is the kind of thing I do and others find it so annoying

I normally do not start conversations but this time, I felt I would have to. Turns out that he too is German but likes living in England. He too likes nature documentaries and is also a sci-fi fan. Once I got him talking we just didn't stop. We went to a bar after and I bought the first round and then him and then me and ..... I felt as if I had known him all my life

Normally, alcohol gives me a terrible headache the next morning. This morning, surprisingly, I felt just fine. I felt that I had dreamt it all; looked into my handbag and couldn't find any bar receipts. Couldn't find any of my shopping either. All very puzzling; went downstairs to make myself a coffee and caught a glimpse of him again ... in the hallway mirror

My ex was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar when I met her. I picked her up and looked around and turned her into someone new. Now......she doesn't want me !

How strange, as I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, this much is true, but even then i knew i'd find a much better place even with or without you.
