the doorbell rang and I moved to answer it, a woman stood in front of me when I had been expecting Val the cleaner. Val is in her late 50s and has known me for just over a year as my cleaner. We get on well and this was clearly not her.

I enquired what was that, and she said that it was well paid and in different places.
I asked where did she go to and what did she do, when she laughed and said was I expecting fine art or something. I said I had no idea, when she said - naked clearing for older men.

she said I am doing the lounge next and so i will be in there, got up and walked out of the room and upstairs.
I walked into the lounge and waited. I heard her footsteps on the stairs as she came down and heard her plug the pylon into the hall plug and turn it on. the dyson was slowly pushed in the room and all I could see from around the door was lipless of a bare arm, with rubber glove on.

she focused on the cleaning and not on me which raised the tension - this was not an act or to try and raise a reaction this woman knew what she was doing. After pushing the dyson all around the lounge she went out of the room and got the polish and a duster. Again focused on the job she dusted around me and never made eye contact.
At the end, she stood up and looked at me - did you enjoy that. my mouth was dry with anticipation.
I stuttered a yes it was lovely, then I will try and come and clean for you next week, at which point she left the room, walked up stairs and re appeared dressed. A crisp £20 was placed into her hand and she left with a cheeky smile. |
