After a long time lurking and enjoying other people contributions on here though id try my hand. Just to be clear the first part of this is completely real, happened a few weeks ago. The second part hasn’t happened…yet.
For the last few years iv been struggling with a back injury. I hurt myself playing rugby and rather than letting it heal I finished the season, now I have daily back pain. Thankfully after months of physio and rehab im getting the better of it. Doesn’t distract me during the day anymore and its not stopping me do anything too important.
Part of my rehab is to do core exercises, planks, breathing drills and all that fun stuff. Also found that I wasn’t using my bum enough, putting too much pressure on my back, so I had to do lots and lots of glute activation work. Slowly but surely these have both improved, and now im able to squat and deadlift better than before my injury. Im usually that odd guy who spends an hour in the warm up area, then only lifts heavy stuff for 30 minutes.
Whilst I was injured I put on weight and im still struggling to loose this. When I was younger I was very overweight and to this day I don’t like my chest or abdomen. My legs however are another story. Very lean and although not as big big as i would like, there getting bigger each week thanks to the training.
As the part of my body I like the most, I tend to wear shorts that leave little to the imagination. That’s not to say im flashing, I make sure to wear appropriate underwear, wouldn’t want a wardrobe malfunction or the complaints that would follow. I like that whilst im warming up I can see my lean and muscular legs in the mirrors, gives me a real boost of confidence that whilst iv still a lot of work to do with the rest of my body, my legs aren’t the worst in the world.
Although the shorts are mostly for my own vanity I cant help but notice that iv been getting some appreciative looks over the past few months, and getting quite a few people asking for advice. I usually just try and avoid being a gym bore (which is difficult when I am a gym bore) and say its just stuff iv picked up online, or maybe show them a few basic stretches.
At this point I should probably mention that although I don’t have anything set in stone regarding what I find attractive, I do find gym clothes very sexy and have a long term thing for older woman.
With the gym clothes whoever made legging acceptable gym wear deserves a medal. Iv found that as iv gotten older the purely physical things that I notice have changed. As a teenager I was all about the boobs but the past few years I cant help notice how sexy I find strong thighs and a well developed bum.
As for the older woman thing reading this forum it would appear its fairly common. I cant quite put my finger on it but i think a big part of it is experience. Slowly finding out what a woman likes and what she really likes is a huge turn on for me, but I do quite like it when a woman lets you know what she enjoys or say “yes, that’s the spot. Repeatedly do what your doing right there but faster and harder” (or words to that effect”. Massive generalization to say all older women are like that or that no younger women are, but there is some part of me that when I see an attractive older woman cant help but think “yes, you know exactly what you want”
So back to the gym. Iv been going to the same gym for a long long time now, I know most of the regulars by sight but I prefer to keep myself to myself. Nod and a quick smile but no real conversations, im there to get fitter not chat.
Usually take myself to a quite corner in the warm up area and do my exercises. A few weeks ago I was really getting into things, pushing myself and letting my confidence improve by taking a peek in the mirrors (what would Carly Simon think of me hey). It seemed busier than usual and there where a lot of people in the warm up area. After about 20 minutes of doing my stuff one of the regulars came over and asked if I was using the space to my left. I said no and that she was welcome to use it.
This woman’s been a member for even longer than I have, I remember seeing her there when I first started. Im useless at guessing ages but if I had to id say that she was in her mid to late forties. Shes extremely fit, I often see her running to and from the gym and she does a lot of circuits with surprisingly heavy weights. Physically she is slim but not skinny with breasts that are more than a handful and a bum that although im sure she thinks is too big, is a sight to behold. She was wearing a tight purple top and black leggings that stopped at the top of her calves. Once or twice iv had to move to another part of the gym as shes been training in my eye line and as much as I want to look I don’t want to get caught.
Over the past few weeks we've caught eyes a few times, smiled and nodded but not really ever had a proper chat
We both get on with are own thing and im trying my best to act the gentleman and not use the mirrors to admire her body. Im failing at this but it’s the trying that counts.
As I get towards the end of what I need to do im very warm and getting breathless. The last few reps of each set are difficult and im grunting a bit.
As im trying my hardest to act like im completely fine the woman says “arnt you good warming up properly”
“if I don’t my back gets really sore” I reply “ all this is to get my glutes firing properly”
“we do similar stuff in pilates, but the woman always says im cheating haha.” she said.
“that was exactly my problem too. I find these glutes bridges are great for making sure im engaging my glutes and not cheating using my legs ha.”
“how does that help stop you cheating?” she asked
“well when im in the bridge position I keep my hands on my thighs. If I get lazy and relax my glutes my thighs contract and I can feel that with my hands. I force my glutes back on and make sure my thighs relax.”
At this point I was well outside my 30 seconds rest so I said watch this and get back into the bridge position.
I say “this is how it should be, my glutes are working and my thighs are relaxed, feel here” I poked at my thigh not far above the knee. “ now if I let my thigh take the weigh you should feel the difference”
“oh yes I see what you mean now”
im about 20 seconds into the bridge now and it only just hits me that this beautiful woman has her hands on my thigh. No one seems to have noticed but shes in no hurry to take her hand off me so I just try to play it cool, make sure the blood doesn’t rush anywhere else.
Im really staring to struggle with the last 15 seconds but trying so hard to not let it show. Im suddenly aware that not only is her hand still on my thigh but its beginning to move up my leg, her grip has changed a bit too, not just resting her hand on me now, there’s a definite squeeze there too.
I turn my eyes to my left and she stares right back at me, her face hasn’t changed but this eye contact is so intense. Her hand stops climbing my thigh, shes right under my shorts now, a few centimeters higher and she would have been right on my increasingly more noticeable bulge. She starts to change her grip again, opening and closing her hand so her nails rub my skin.
As much as I wish I could spend a few more hours like this, I cant hold the bridge much longer and slowly lower myself to the ground, as I do this her hand leaves my thigh and she takes a swig from her bottle.
I don’t say anything at this point. Firstly because im tired from the warm up but also because im just trying to convince myself that what just happened actually happened.
Thankfully she speaks first.
“well thanks for showing me that, im going to have to shoot off now”
“oh ok” I say disappointingly. I wasn’t expecting us do anything else right there and then but im now worried that iv done something wrong. Have I somehow misread this whole situation?
“hopefully next time you can show me some more exercises” she said after a pause. “ and next time you can check im not using my thighs”
Every ounce of my being wanted me to jump for joy and cheer at this point but somehow I managed to remain composed and with a smile said “im happy to help whenever I can”
With that she stood up, gathered her things and walked away. Yes I watched her walk away, yes her bum looks incredible and yes im sure she knew I was watching. Once she was out the door I lay back on the mat and allowed myself an internal “yyyyyyeeeeeeeessssssss, get in”.
As you can imagine I was probably as warmed up as its possible to be. I had one of the best lifting sessions iv ever had, felt invincible and treated my usual maxes like they where nothing.
