It's the same as any other situation.
You don't just go running in tackle out.
Not my thing anymore, but when i was younger and almost pre internet, it was an easy place to meet.
You would get a 'glance' then a 'look' then a stare or a nod. Only then would you take it further.
There was definately an edge of excitment about it, but personally i never went daft with it, and would never have just wopped it out and hoped for the best.

And I would agree with you wholeheartedly if this was about an activity done in private but its not. It is about an illegal activity that can cause a great deal of distress to many people. Whilst I'm certainly not homophobic in any way, and of the opinion, what happens in private is an individual's own business! .
The subject here is about certain guys assuming that the guy stood next to them is of the same persuasion.

Not my cup of tea personally but no different to dogging - sexual activity in generally public places. I don't see that many guys getting their knickers in a twist over that.
