Im a painter and decorator in an area with many asian families and often get work from them although im white!!
On one the husband was a real twat to his wife and most days she was in tears when he left!! She spoke little english so all i did was give a look convaying " its not right ".
Third day she started appologising again and i stopped her but asked why they arguing?? After few mins she realised my question asking me half in english half urdo and gestures was i married?? I said i had been.
She said he was bringing another wife here and she didnt like it.
I know its common so asked why??
She gestured fat n ugly then he was crap husband to her but was all over other.
I jokingly said she should get 2nd hubby!!
Giggling she said it not allowed and whod want a skinny wife like her!!
Id only seen her in the loose garb they wear but seemed o.k so said she better than a fat lass.
At that she pondered, then motioned around asking how long?? Meaning when would i be done!!
Puzzled i said about 4days but sorry if i spoke out of place!!
She aproached me asking " you like??? I find more paint, you longer i want!!"
