oh come on using your example is not very well thought out snd very simplistic.
If i were in a monogomist realtionship it. Would mean i only have sex with my partner its a label but a correct one.
Some couples dont like the thought of having sex with a guy who has had sex with another man. So if the guy stated he was straight he would be lieing and misleading people which is far worse than just labelling people.
And its not labelling its defining straight = different sex bi= both sexes gay= same sex its easy.
Using your logic you go to a vehicle sale and purchase a bus even if you wanted a car as after all its got 4 wheels and of course you dont want to label it do you |

Granted meeting two TV's would probably stretch defintions, but a man or woman who is straight ie attracted to the opposite sex, but either wanted to try same sex or had once doesn't necessarily mean they should be defined forever as someone who is gay bi or straight for that matter.
As for my analogy, I still believe it valid. Now if I was just after something with four wheels I would buy two bikes 
If a woman was straight, fell in love with a woman, was in a monogamous relationship with her, that means she is gay. Oh but she used to sleep with men so therefor bi?
How someone sees themselves is at the time of viewing. If the op decides that he will stick with women forever more, I would argue he is straight. |
