Does anyone else dislike stories being split up I.e each section on a different post asking if we want more
Tell the tale don't wait for the begging for more comments |

Ah, but building up the tension is half the fun, and sometimes the story is too long to be put in one part. I actually prefer the breaks in between. So a reader it's good to read a snippet then know exactly where to come back into it, and as a writer it gives good feedback on whether or not to continue the story. |

With you completely. It's different if the OP is writing a saga in episodic form, but simply putting up a paragraph and wanting everyone to go 'more please' is getting boring tbh. |

"If it's an epic tale I see the point of a few different posts but the constant need for approval grates on me.
Lol I should probably chill out "
I saw one the other day that had written a fairly short but succinct story. Someone said more please and they came back with 'no more, that's just happened!'
Made me laugh. |

Really disappointed with this thread I was expecting horny stories about splitting up with your partner and having a farewell fuck or splitting up and then getting back together for sex....
Shall I go on? Would you like more?? |

I agree, though I think it works as a way of splitting a story up into parts, especially if it's fairly long. It seems to me that a single post of a thousand words or more might be a bit off-putting for some - breaking it up might be a reasonable way of making it more palatable.
I tried it with a story I posted a while ago but I don't know how well it came across:

"Yep agreed, it puts me off reading the storey so is self defeating imo. I understand the work in progress thing so why not write it on 'word' then cut and paste it when its finished! "

Spot on. I hate stories that start getting into it then stop abruptly looking for praise. It's not so bad if it's a different meet thats the second part as it would have a natural end but i'd prefer it to all be one post. |

because we like to give you something to look forward to when we do write them , but its easy to keep them on the same post |

I recently posted ine in several parts, but put them all within the same post, didnt split it up deliberately for praise. Is putting it all in same post acceptable? |

this is exactly whats been discussed, the stop start storys, instead of how they used to be, and just put up to read and be commented on. |

but to be fair, yours wasnt to bad as in it wasnt a "give me compliments and ill continue" story, it was just broke up. |

I'm writing and submitting a story in parts at the moment. To be honest, it was only going to be a three-parter but it's just evolved into more: I didn't write it as an erotic novella to start with so copying and pasting large chunks has never been an option.
I'm busy with a lot of stuff at this time of year but try to throw a part together when I can - I never ask if people 'want more' but they seem to anyway.
Not sure where it'll finish - I think I'll just let it develop as it will |

I have been writing one but didn't want to wait to finish it before posting it. So it became a series of episodes. From the posts here it seems that's not the way to do it, so thank you to the OP for asking the question. |

Dont mind the story being split up and dont mind having to wait for the next installment.
The OP is bang on about the contributer seeking praise continually stating ill write more if interested.
One guy recently was only writing paragraphs and kept asking after each one. It becomes tedious and irritating |
