Assuming all were tested and std free ... I don't think it's disgusting. Know plenty of people who have struggled for years to conceive, had the heartache of IVF failing again and again and then the cost when the number of cycles on the nhs have run out, the way I see it, a baby has a mum and a dad and the dad is the guy who brings the baby up, not the one who provided the dna. |

i have several friends who would make great parents to any child but for whatever reason cant concieve i dont know if they would try and get pregnant anonymously but there are more important things to judge than people who are desperate to be loving parents |

We are in infertile couple and have never considered this but I can see why people would if rather our child was conceived naturally rather than from some guy who spunked in a test tube for £35 who cud have ten other kids through donor, plus you can be selective and as long as all parties agree why is there a problem, I would love that child as my own.......the only hard thing for us would be how yo explain to family or the child, I couldn't lie to the child but I'm sure a loving well brought up child would sympathise and understand eventually after an initial confusion but that would be just as bad as the donor idea, least there not a test tube baby!!!!  |
