No one likes to admit it, but gender dynamics in attraction are often a game of power. Who leads, who follows, who seduces, who submits—it’s all negotiation, spoken or not.
Some say equality should mean erasing these roles. But let’s be honest—many of us like the tension. The push and pull. The chase and the surrender. The way dominance and softness, confidence and vulnerability, play off each other in ways that feel primal.
Does that mean we’re wired this way? Conditioned? And if we strip away these roles, does attraction lose its edge?
Or does real power come from knowing when to play the game—and when to break the rules? |
