Transatlantic flight 485 to NYC

My flight from Heathrow was on time which I was delighted about given I was traveling in my suit due to a short meeting that afternoon in the City.
The August heat was already evident despite it only being 7.30am. I was also massively grateful for my perspective client picking up the bill for my Business upgrade.
No need to check in as I only had carry on luggage I moved through control and security fairly easily and decided to grab a coffee and pastry ahead of boarding.
Settling on a small open coffee shop i ordered and took a table next to an attractive 20s something couple.
Both very well dressed, him in chinos and a light blue shirt. Her in a stunning floral dress above the knee. Showing off her tan and highlighting her blonde hair in a pony tail and blue eyes.
As I sat she flashed an innocent smile in my direction and turned to her partner quietly saying something.
I finished up my coffee and breakfast, stood up and smiled at the couple as I left. Both of them smiling back.
I couldn't help but wonder where they may be off too.. |

I made my way to the first class departures area and sat down with another coffee... when to my surprise the couple walked past me.
Mr giving a little wave of his hand as he went by acknowledging our previous silent meet.
I couldn't help but admire her tanned legs as she walked and was jealous when his hand wandered over her shapely toned bum.
20 mins later I begin transit and 10 mins later I'm in my luxurious 1st class seat. The flight is surprisingly quiet given the time of year. Just another suit in the front seat 2 down and an elderly couple two back from me.
And then... all of a sudden I heard...
Well this is becoming a bit of a regular thing. The male was in the seat directly in front of me and his gorgeous wife next to him on the right..
I let out a short laugh and agree.. of all the planes in all the world.. haha..
As I say it his wife gives me a very different type of smile... a smile that says.. I'm very happy we are o thus flight. |
