Adult Content Filter WTF!

I got up yesterday morning for a piss at 4:00.

I went back to bed and just lay there and couldn't go back to sleep.

I thought maybe get up go on the PC look at porn, have a wank, it might help me to get off to sleep afterwards.

I went into the living room and logged on to my PC and searched for porn, but all I got was an error code and nothing else.

I tried running a scan thinking maybe its a virus?

After that was complete with just a few to quarantine, it still had the error code after searching again.

The PC was fine when I logging into YouTube and Facebook?

I tried my phone, it was the same.

It was logged into my WiFi.

I turned off the WiFi on my phone and just used used my mobile providers 5G.

It was OK, I got porn, but that's crap for watching porn on.

My thoughts were, perhaps the internet provider have blocked them type of sites, but then I thought they wouldn't of done that to me as I've used it to look at porn on for a few months with no issues.

I got dressed and stayed up had breakfast and spent the next few hours trying different things and going through all the settings and permissions and eventually totally messing up my PC including logging in to my broadband.

I spent most of the day at it.

I eventually got it connected via the WiFi dongle and not the ethernet cable.

I then logged into the broadband providers web site and found out that there was in fact an "Adult Content Filter".

They must of decided I needed it and proceeding to activate it on me?.

I read up on how to deactivate it.

It read that I had to be over 18 and had to phone the help line and speak to an agent to get it deactivated.

I felt really embarrassed about phoning and asking an agent.

What would the agent think of me.

That I wanted it deactivated to watch porn, so that I could have a wank.

Worse thoughts came into my head.

What if the agent was a woman, would she think even worse things about me.

So today I plucked up enough courage to phone the provider for help.

After getting through the bot answering service and pressing the right buttons on the keyboard, I was put on hold to wait for an available agent to speak too apparently they were all extramarital busy.

I though, perhaps there were lots phoning with the same problem and missing their porn to wank off too?

Then the agent answered and TG it was a man, perhaps be more understanding about my needs.

I asked him nicely about deactivating my Adult Content Filter.

He took my date of birth, phone number, address to verify that I was me.

Then he said he would look into it for me.

I was put on hold again.

After about 15 minutes he returned.

He told me that it was all sorted and the filter was now deactivated for good.

I thanked him.

Then he said "Is there anything else I can help you with".

AGGG NO THANKS! I think I can manage that myself thank you very much!!!

I recently opened a new UK number and I had this issue too. A day or two after I opened it I went to have a bit of a browse, and it had a block on. I returned to the shop the next day whilst I was in town and asked them about removing it. No problem, just need a valid ID, I had a foreign driving license only with me, so they said I needed my passport, which of course I didn't have. No problem, I'll come back in the next time I'm in town (day or two later). I bring my passport in; no problem we can do that for you, have you registered your number? No I haven't, what is that for and how do I do it? Had to call the customer services (couldn't do it in the shop) to register the number. Came back to the assistant in the shop, ok all registered, now I need to verify the id on the system to remove the block. Doesn't work. Can only be done 24hr after registering.

Fuck sake, I have to come back AGAIN another day.

Returned the next time I was in town, same assistant was working who I'd dealt with the previous three times, this is the fourth time I've been in. Such a ball ache and I started to feel like they thought I was a right creep desperate to look at porn after coming in about it FOUR times 😭😂😂😂
