Linda felt a bit threatened not in a physical sense but emotionally, Vicki had come down to see her but she was flirting with the man who had been giving her so much pleasure these last couple of weeks, there was no way she could compete with her. There was obviously a phusical attraction between them, Tom wouldnt want her after Vicki would he? Tom wanted to stay with Vicki he would console her, hed make her feel better and forget about nasty Dave, he could give her something that make her forget about work.

He wandered down the landing following Linda down the stairs.

Emily carried on cleaning the available rooms worried that shed cocked everything up, she knew Vicky wasnt buying her explanation, this was going to kick off, she feared Vicki would be ringing Dave then that really would drop both of them in the shit.

She pondered on ringing Vicki back to try and reassure her but that would only look even more like she was trying to hide something. She just hoped Vicki would calm down and not do anything, she'd nest to try and avoid Dave.

Vicki sat chatting with L8nda, however much she tried she couldnt get what Emily had said out of her head, she didnt want this hanging over her even though she was trying to forget about it all and relax.

She wasnt really listening to Linda in her head she was shouting at herself

Brian had recieved a call from Chris with his concerns over Dave but didnt go much into detail, that wasnt a lot he could do right now as he was indeed going to a meeting.

As Brian was in the legal side of the business there wasnt much he could do anyway, Dave had always been a bit of a loose cannon, he was smart he knew how to tow the company line when it suited him but had his own set of rules when applying them.

Brian had known Dave years he knew he was no saint as a mate hed lost track of the times hed make phone calls to Daves wife with some bullshit alibi as to why he wasnt home, usually an over running meeting or sorting out some new pub the brewery had acquired.

His Mrs knew of course, Brian would call and before hed even speak shed ask what meeting is he going to be late from tonight? Or dont tell me theres a new secretary in the office.

Brian wondered how she put up with it, maybe it was the nice house , company car and numerous holidays that must be softening the blow.

This had gone on for years, but somehow this time felt different, Brian had never recieved a call from Chris before concerned and the fact Brian had got to know The Coach and its staff well ( The female staff very well) was worrying, he didnt want to challenge Dave directly but hed call in see how thungs were.

Vicki went back downstairs the look on her face said it all.

Well now im confused, I dont know if ive still got a job there, moving to somewhere else, thing is Linda if i lose that job, ill lose the appartment ill have to find somewhere else to live!!

Brian had his meeting they were usually boring affairs and this one was no exception he wasnt that far from the The Coach and decided to call in unnanounced on his way back.

He pulled into the car park, it looked quite busy, a good sign, he parked up, his phone started ringing and he took the call.
