So it all began a few years back when I worked in an office in Glasgow. The company also had an office in Belfast and offered placements for staff who wanted learn new skills. They were anywhere from 1 week to a full year, depending on what was going on. It was an all expenses paid placement with a lovely Clyde Side flat with balcony. I consider myself very average looking and never really turn heads. I know my place on the pecking order, or so I though.
It was a late August morning at the Glasgow office, where we were expecting Siobhan about 10am. When she finally arrived every head, male and female turned in amazement. She was a specimen of absolute beauty, with the most amazing smile and lovely silky blonde hair. She was tiny at 4ft 11in with a huge DD bust for someone her size. Perfect, fucking perfect! After my initial WOW reaction I went back work thinking she wouldn't even notice my existence so what was the point in even looking her direction. Later on that day I was looking over the office and noticed I caught her looking at me as she awkwardly looked away. My first thought was it must be someone behind me. Thought nothing of it. Later on I was in the kitchen area and in bounced Siobhan. She looked very happy with herself as she came in my direction. I smiled and said hello thinking that would be all. The office was full of tall well groomed tattooed gym hunks. Why would she even look my way? Anyway she was advancing towards me with very open body language and put her hand out to shake. She said hi I'm Siobham but Shiv is what I'm known as. So I smiled and shook her hand made small talk, trying not look awkward and out of place. As the small talk went on she seemed really interested and quite flirty, which I couldn't get my head around. There I was chatting to a beautiful girl who seemed absolutely lovely. When I got home that night she had left an impression on me. Her NI accent was amazing and her smile was infections. I decided if we were speaking again to just be cool and open up and not look terrified. Easier said than done. The next morning came and I was in the kitchen again at break, making a coffee. In snuck Shiv. "Moring Stew, how are you today? OMG you smell delicious, what aftershave do you wear?" At this point I turn around and there stands Shiv, long blonde hair up in a messy bun, big black glasses, white blouse and knee length pencil style checked skirt. Well I lost the power of speech and went all Sheldon form the Big Bang Theory. Shiv wasn't phased at all. Yet more small talk, giggling and playing with her fringe. This behaviour continues over the next couple of days but I just put it down to her being a massive flirt. I noticed however when ever she spoke to any other males in the office she was different. She smiled and was polite but no flirting. A couple of days later she was in before me. I walked in to a pretty empty office and past her desk to get to mine. She jumped out her seat and said "look at your collar you edjit come here and let me see". As I turned round she was there fixing my collar and tie with her big smile. Our eyes locked for a moment. I broke eye contact and she said that's you all fixed, handsome.
As the weeks went on she didn't let up on the flirting and I noticed more and more it was just with me. No other interaction with anyone else was ever flirty. I really didn't understand. Don't get me wrong by this time I just wanted to throw her down on the desk and fuck her rotten but I must be picking her signals up wrong. She could have anyone she wanted, why would she pick me?
The next weekend about 20 of us were heading out for a colleagues birthday. Everyone in the office really liked Shiv so she was invited. I was really worried I would say something stupid or get to d*unk. On the Friday I was getting really anxious about the night because of Shiv, about what may or may not happen because drink would be involved. All day everyone was talking about the night, where we should go, who was meeting who and I just sat quiet. People started to notice I was unusually quiet. Shiv came over and sat in a spare chair next to me. "You OK handsome, you're awful quiet". I just said I was tired and going out was a thought. She said the usual stuff, you'll be fine once you're out. You'll have a ball. Then she said "I'm meeting Trish for drink before hand, would you like to join us? Before I could answer she said I'll be disappointed if you don't, with her big smile. Now I felt even more anxious. My head was full of what if. |
