I used to love the odd occasion when I could don a dress, stockings, heels, wig and makeup in public.
Last time was 30 years ago when I worked behind a bar. New-Year's eve, myself and the other barman dressed as females behind the bar.
One of our regular female customers approached the bar and, when I asked what she wanted, I got an amazing reaction. She knew but had not recognised me.
The woman I was dating also approached the bar (she knew I was doing this) and, to my delight, asked how I managed to keep my lipstick on for so long.
I did spend a lot of time looking at my reflection. In those days I was extremely slim, has shapely and not hairy legs, fitted into a size 12 dress and passed easily as a member of the opposite gender.
