Angel and her client Richard, obviously had a certain energy between them, created through previous meetings. His prospective business partner Clive, was less easy to talk to and judging by the number of times B had caught him talking to her chest, or his hand had strayed onto her arm, thigh or back, he gave the impressive that he thought, because the girls were paid for, he could do as he pleased.
This came to a head as Blondie came back from a bathroom visit and Clive had made it very difficult to slide past him and as she did, he had slipped a hand up the inside of her thigh from behind.
"Careful Clive. Touch me again like that and you'll be wearing your lunch", she whispered in his ear on finally being able to sit down.
Angel and Richard had noted some of what had been happening and it was Richard that finally spoke up.
"Thank you all for coming to lunch today and for Clive to make my business decision far easier than I thought it would be".
Clive smiled and raised his half full glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
"As you know, Clive, my company has been contemplating using yours for it's global payroll for some time now and today, this lunchtime actually, I am pleased to announce my verdict".
Clive had been the CEO of a medium sized payroll company for some time and this deal would trigger a bonus that should lead to him being able to retire ahead of schedule.
Richard went on, "For some time, there has been a little seed of doubt in my mind, about the deal and you in particular, Clive."
Clive's smirk had disappeared and his glass was now no longer raised. His eyes looked on quizically and his mouth opened slightly.
"Your behaviour over lunch, with regard to pur lovely companions, has just confirmed my instincts not to do business with you. You have a excellent product, but a vile personality and I can't do business with a man who treats people as you have today".
"The bill is paid for, as is your hotel for the evening. Enjoy the rest of your stay, but leave us now, please".
With that, Richard rose to his feet and in an obviously pre arranged signal to the Maitre D, gave him a nod and a large doorman appeared by the side of the table.
Clive, still hadn't uttered a word, nor did he as he was escorted off the premises and out onto the street, with a little extra push from doorman, so that passers by would realise that he had been ejected, rather than left voluntarily.
Richard had left the table thanked the Maitre D and tipped the doorman generously, before sitting back down, inbetween the ladies.
"Dessert anyone?" he beamed.
B leaned over to him and planted a big kiss on his cheek. "Not for me thank you. I'll give Claire a call and ask her to pick me up and leave you to to enjoy each other. Thank you for lunch, Richard and I hope I haven't cost you a potential client".
"A pleasure to meet you B. I hope you enjoyed the food". |
