My friend Lucy was turning 30 and wanted a big party. We had grown up together in a small little village. She had stayed there, married a local and was having a party to celebrate. There were no hotels nearby so she asked local friends to help out. I offered my parents place, as they would be away for the weekend, so she offered the place to a couple she worked with...I got on the train with my fiancé for a whole weekend of partying... |

I was intrigued as to who would be staying with us. As my fiancé lost himself in a podcast on the train, Lucy texted asking if she could pass my number to the couple to make arrangements for their arrival. I agreed and settled in for the 2 hour train journey, and then my phone vibrated *hey, its Phil, you're kindly putting us up this weekend, thank you so much. We'll be leaving in a few minutes, should be with you by 10*. I smiled wondering what these mystery friends were like and decided to reply *hey, I'm Emily, not a problem, would you like anything when you arrive?*... |

I made sure fiancé was asleep as I replied *I won't tell, here's my Instagram details so you at least know who you're meeting*. He didnot reply for a bit so I was reading my book when that familiar vibrating came from my phone. *oh wow, you're engaged congratulations! When's the big day?*...i replied quickly, thinking of him in the car, wondering how he'd hid looking at a younger lady's pictures... |

I messaged him the details finishing the message with a cheeky *who knows, see how we all get on this weekend you might get an invite*. Ismiled wondering what my mystery messenger looked like as we hurtled through the countryside clear of London. *haha, you wouldn't want oldies like us around...* *how old is old?* I replied quickly *40* came his instant response. *that's not old...only 10 years different, am sure you can stay up all night partying*. I couldn't believe the butterflies I was feeling as I waited for a response |

I checked fiancé was still asleep as I imagined the mystery guy texting whilst not quite telling his wife everything as they drove to ours. I grinned as I read his next message...*well I can still stay up all night, wife doesn't quite have the stamina any more*. I didn't think I was imagining that this had turned slightly flirtatious as I replied *similar to us, I can go all night, fiancé finishes by midnight...* |

I felt a little tingle, crossing my legs as we got closer to home. I grinned to myself wondering if the flirting had gone too far, I couldn't help continually checking my phone wondering if he'd reply.
