I had worked there for a few years now, mid 40’s, middle management. Becky was younger, late 20’s, tall, slim and even in the shapeless uniforms had something about her that made you notice her.
We had exchanged messages over the time I had been there, good natured and flirty but she was always in a relationship and I never realistically imagined anything could happen.
One Saturday we were working together, I was on until 2100, Becky due off at 1700. It wasn’t that busy, we were drinking coffee and chatting. Becky was going out for drinks after work, I was staying in a hotel that night to avoid the long commute after a late finish. I joked with Becky as she left that if she got d*unk she should come to the hotel I was staying at, told her to have a fun night and thought nothing more of it for the next few hours |
