It was a day like any other, cold and raining as I drove to the office. My first appointment was a site meeting to quantify damage done by workmen who through negligence had flooded the property below. A coffee, a flick through the notes and I left for the short journey to the site.
I arrived and was greeted by an older woman probably in her mid sixties, about 5’4 plain but not unattractive who was very thankful for the prompt attention given the circumstances of lockdown. She invited me in and offered me a coffee which I accepted and when she returned she sat down and we talked through what had happened I’ve the previous weekend. She was gregarious, smiling as she spoke. She explained her husband had died and as she was on her own she struggled to deal with issues like this. I finished taking my notes and sat just chatting as I finished my coffee. There was nothing specific but I just had the feeling she was trying to flirt and being flattered I was happy to enjoy her attention.
Kirsty noticed my mug was empty and asked if I fancied a refill. I said I’d have one once I had seen the damage and photographed it. She got up and led me through the hall initially into her bathroom. It was neat and tidy, no clutter. The ceiling had been lowered and was bowed where the water had flooded through from the property above. I photographed it and explained what would need to be done in terms of remedial work dropping the glaze ceiling and the original ceiling before reinstating them. Kirsty seemed apprehensive about the works and I reassured her it was not a big job in the grand scheme of things. The other affected room was her bedroom. I asked her if she could show me and she squeezed by me in the confines of the bathroom her breasts brushing against my back as she did so, she blushed and apologised as I assured her it was fine. As she went out the door it was obvious she had passed closer than she needed to.
The bedroom was neat and tidy again no clutter and a large king size bed filled most of the floor. Large fitted wardrobes filled the wall backing onto the bathroom. There were signs of water staining on the ceiling which had obviously tracked through from the bathroom. I asked Kirsty if I could open the fitted wardrobes to see into the rest of the ceiling. She agreed but I could see her face flush crimson as she did so.
Th first wardrobe had a double hanging rail with blouses cardigans and coats filling the space. I said I need to get up and put my protimeter on the ceiling and asked if she had any small steps. Kirsty said she had a three step latter she’s used in her kitchen and went off to get it. I climbed up the three steps and with a stretch could just reach the ceiling with the meter. It wasn’t too damp and I told her this was good as it would dry out and would only need stain blocked and decorated. I opened the next door and moved the steps and checked the ceiling again the same result. Kirsty asked if I had to check the last wardrobe her voice nervous and I apologised and said yes...
I slid the door open nothing untoward jumped out at me and I moved the ladder as I climbed up my eyes line was level with the top shelf and to my astonishment I could see lace lingerie, what appeared to be leather garments and an array of vibrators and other toys. Kirsty apologised repeatedly for embarrassing me and I assured her I was not in the least embarrassed and nor should she be as we all should enjoy ourselves, I smiled at her and she grinned, a cheeky mischievous grin that had my mind racing... |

Kirsty was clearly still mortified but thankfully said if I was finished she’d make me that coffee. I offered to put the ladders away for her and she said they went In a kitchen cupboard so I picked them up and filled her through the hall. She filled the kettle and pointed out the cupboard and I duly put the ladder back as I heard the chink of the mugs being stirred. We retired to the livingroom but this time Kirsty came and sat next to me on the sofa, turned at an angle to face me. She started to explain how embarrassed she was and I told her there was no need of seen it all over the years and she laughed and relaxed a little. She supposed she was now too old to find a man for pleasure hence her toy collection but she no longer had named for the lingerie or leather. Before I realised it I had said that was a shame and mused that she must look great in it I quickly apologised and she said no need as it was her turn not to mind. She and her husband had had fun when he was alive and she missed that but satisfied her cravings with toys, she was obviously still flirting and I said that as an attractive woman she should find herself a man for some fun, she just replied with “is that an offer?” I was a little taken aback but said she could take my comment any way she wished and with that she smiled and moved along the sofa towards me... |
