We used to advertise in Rendezvous such a thrill to go to the news agents and pick a magazine from the top shelf knowing a photo of Val naked was inside.
The downside of contact Mags was the time it all took, from sending advert and photo off to the publisher and receiving responses was almost four weeks  |

Yes it was also not getting your photos back was a big problem very satisfying though when a meet was finally arranged |

My ex wife and I used to advertise in New Direction way back in the early 80's. swinging was a long drawn out process then. Would take two or three weeks to get a reply if any....Happy times though had some good meets  |

We never used the mags, the papers seemed much quicker we used the personals in the back of the loot, you could place an ad and it would be in the next days edition, you had a number to ring to hear the replies, we screened out 99% at that point, the ones that we decided to check out would have to meet us at a pub we chose, we would arrange them back to back like interviews, and set up a second meet if they were a yes, which didnt happen often as we were very picky, there was only one occasion a guy was so ideal we had him wait an hour, while we finished interviewing then we took him home and played all night. |

Used to get Forum and have to 'hide' it away as lots of so called kink and Bi stuff. Had some great meets via various mags.
As a young Soldier saw one ad 'Adventurous Couple wish to meet open minded male for us both to explore'... The only down side? They lived in Hull... Literally the hardest place to get too without a car... But arranged to pop over on train next leave period...i think that's where my interest in exploration started:funny working for a company based in Hill years later and the MD being a minx and a half, on her wall was a photo at a function and 'they' were there with the MD and her hubby a fit as fuck fireman...MD saw my smile and asked what's wrong with you...the invite to her home for a BBQ was accepted with anticipation |
