Hey,
I see some people posting on here about preferring true stories over fantasies. A lot of mine are based on truth but extended into some fictional parts.
I've been toying with the idea of writing a story about the relationship a lot of these stories are based from and I wondered, why is it you prefer true stories? |

I think most people are naturally voyeuristic to varying degrees so reading about true events plays towards that. How many people can honestly say they don't people watch even in normal mundane life?
All except two of the stories I've posted on the forum have been true and there is a big difference in the messages and comments you get to the true ones.
I find that stories written from memories often include little details that people wouldn't even think to add to a fantasy story but somehow they help readers get more invested in the story. Its hard to explain but you can generally tell truth from fiction even when truth is stranger than fact.
I enjoy any well written story but knowing someone really did the events your reading about do make it more enjoyable. |

"Should be two different categories, or declare which it is in the beginning."
People suggest that and I see why but a lot of stories on here are a mix of fantasy and reality so that sort of muddies the waters a bit. |

Thanks for the feedback guys, makes sense now you put it like that.
A lot of mine taken certain realities from a relationship and then made several stories that are a mix of that and some fantasy added in.
If people do enjoy the real stories then maybe I can tell the real story of that relationship. |
