Once had a meet with a woman who lived on site at a theme park in an gypsy style caravan.

I turned up in the dark so didn't really see much but the caravan itself.

Bit surreal in the morning walking around the place empty.

That and realising hers wasn't the only caravan parked there.

Apparently everyone was giving her smirks all day.

Yes, Skegness North Shore site in early July '75.

We'd completed our O levels and my mate & me were given the chance to unwind from the stress of exams with a free week at his Aunty's caravan.

Not only did we skip school, but the clubhouse had Newcy Brown on draught and we were in there every night drinking, underage I might add!

Downside was we'd forgotten to buy shampoo and had to use Squeezee liquid to was our hair.

It was also memorable for our foray to the beer garden by the pier, and because I bought Warrior On The Edge Of Time by Hawkwind - a brand new release by them at the time - from Skeggy Woolworths, which was one of the few mainstream outlets that opened on the day of rest, and because everywhere you went I'm Not In Love by 10cc always seemed to be playing.

I think we ate Chips almost every day,got up late and skipped brekky.

All very naughty and decadent stuff at 16 years old!
