We`ve lived in Los Boliches near Fuengirola for 18 years its a nice quite place to live for lets say the more mature couples but not a great night life but we go to DuQuesa a lot about an hours drive from us towards and past Marbella, lots of bars and Resturants, plenty going on at night, have a long weekend there and see what you think. good luck xx

Cap d’Agde, France

Forget Spain, come and live near Cap d'Agde.

The food is better the wine is better and you have a ready made sexy social life just down the road plus you get 300 days sunshine a year.

Spent this self isolating week sunbathing every day!

Fuerteventura........sitting out the madness in winter home overlooking Atlantic Ocean. Naturism all year through. An endless stream of swingers from all over Northern Europe returning year after year, some several times a year. No heating required.......ever.

Bournemouth, Notts & Spain

Lots of recommendations above.

Though you haven't said what you are looking for.. Lots of sun year round? Play/clubs? Quiet area? Lots of expats near? etc.

Some points, and apologies if you know this, but next year you can only spend 90 days in a rolling 180 day period anywhere in the Schengen area(EU and some others). However, if you are Spanish resident it is different. And if you spend 183 days in Spain you become fiscally resident. Whilst a lot of expats have been 'under the radar' that all changes at the end of the transition period.

Should Spain not issue visas for those with property, enabling people to stay on a slightly different basis, as France has plans to do, for ourselves it will mean November, December, January in Fuerte, UK for 6 weeks February and first two weeks of March, then back here for another 6 weeks until end of April. In essence not so different from what we do now.

We will not be cowed into buying Spanish Health Insurance at around £1000 per year each, just to stay 2 lots of 3 months consecutively, that's for sure!

We may reconsider situation on reaching pensionable age, but feel seeing out 2020 and staying alive comes first and foremost.

A lot to be said for isolation with a view!

Stay fit and healthy, you two.

Consider the flights as well, Costa Blanca you’re spoilt with several flights per day from most airports but Canaries will be less choice.

We live just inland from Malaga, inbetween Malaga and Granada, wonderful sunshine most of the year, skiing in the sierra Nevada during winter and a host of beaches just an hour away, we love it and very friendly local social life.

For me personally costa blanca north still warm in the summer and fresh in the winter Much greener than a lot of Spain it has a micro climate Have a look at the Jalon Valley area the coast is more expensive Still a Lot from the UK here

when we were looking we rented a car for 2 weeks and drove around to see where we wanted to be, our choice for ease of occasional return trips to the UK was the South on the mainland, also we found just inland we got extremely good value for our money.

Travelling around for two weeks to get the feel is a good idea no more than an hour from airport

Agree with several others, Javea is great if you can afford it and Jalon valley just up the road if you can't. Great microclimate and plenty of swinger clubs within an hour's drive.

I live in Málaga and love it.

Gets a little bit cold in Feb but even then we're talking 10-15 minimum. Plenty of coastline and you're also close to mountains.

Food and drink is pretty cheap all year round, plenty of flights back to the UK, transport links to Madrid and you've got Cordoba, Granada, Cadiz and Seville all close by

Canary Islands, Spain

Gran Canaria without a doubt. Cheap apartments in Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas. 22degrees whole year. VAT is 7%. Dozens of Flights to UK, Germany, Scandinavia everyday of the week. Plenty of swingers hotspots, more than any other place in Spain.

London

Costa Calida is a bit of a secret and property prices are reasonable. Los Alcazares is OK, although it does have a good percentage of expats around. Only a 50 minute drive to Vera Playa as well if you want a naturist beach (non playing) or a swingers club. Murcia International Airport about 35 minutes, Alicante just over an hour. Good luck.
