If it had been St George's day and a Paddy had posted similar about someone draped in a St George's flag, holding a can of John Smith's, I'm sure there'd have been an entirely different spin on things put by the OP

So I seriously hope those that take offence will be speaking to this IRISH lady who dared to dress up for St Patrick's day, as millions of others will have done rather than sitting in their own shite looking for something to be offended by.

I'd also write to your ministry of fun to make sure a St Patrick's day parade from now on must not involve Irish people dressing up.

No offence intended but feel free to find some

OP.

Democracy seems to mean different things to different people. For many it's how your democracy is applied. Some are told what to do with dire consequences imposed if you don't adhere, others the choice is given but with strong recommendations. After some time if little consideration is given, then stronger implementation is applied with the consequences. The latter is more democratic and empowers. You can see across Europe how democracy is perceived, applied and adhered too in times like this.

As others have said there's massive assumptions made in your OP and it could be said the complete opposite if it was the others national holiday and they wanted a relaxed break from all the impositions. The Irish can be friendly as can the Spanish, Chinese, German, British or even any other sub group as can be the complete opposite said for each nationality too. Much depends on what's happening.
