Ryanair are buggers for this. They will wait as long as possible before cancelling your flight in the hope you will switch to another date rather than them having to refund you??

Our flight left today from east Midlands, without us of course as once there you can't go out only to get food shopping. Ryan air said we could change our flight on line then blocked us from doing so. They will not cancel your flight so if you hav'nt checked in I would change now as nothing open til end of month. They do not care about there passengers only the money |

We were booked to fly back to Germany from Alicante next Monday with Lauda Motion, which is owned by Ryanair.
We got the cancellation email late yesterday.
Not too happy about the cancellation but to be fair they have given us enough notice. |

We should be going to benidorm tomorrow night had a mail from ryanair late friday night saying they understand peoples concerned travelling at this time so will waiver the change flight charge up to march 31st and do it online, which ive tried to do,however the first page your directed to is asking for money to do this and unless you select 1 of the options you can't progress to do it,tut.
has anyone successfully changed their flight without paying them more money? |

"We were due out on Thursday with Ryanair and not heard a thing.
A flight to Gran canaria left Stansted this morning.
Really don't understand what they are doing. "
I think they are going out to bring people home. Gc is in lockdown, you're not allowed to leave your hotel, apart from medical needs or to go to the supermarket |

All credit to Ryanair,
We were due to fly to Vienna tomorrow and we received the cancellation email yesterday afternoon.
5 clicks and our refund was sorted.
Interesting to see the situation with our flight to Beziers in two weeks. |

There are still lots of planes in the air. However most flights to Spain (including the islands) are flying out almost empty and returning full.
Unlike some others Ryanair is a two way airline. Meaning that it doesn't just take Brits to the sun, it also flies many Spanish (among others) the other way.
I would doubt that there will be many (if any) holiday makers on these outbound flights although there probably will be Spanish and expats returning home.
I would expect the return flights to be full.
We are currently in Spain and would advise anyone NOT to travel out.
There is nowhere to go and nothing to do.
Those of you (like us) who are wondering how to get home I wish you luck, although at the moment things seem to be OK. Our flight for next week has been cancelled but we have managed to re-book one for Thursday this week. Fingers crossed they don't cancel that one as well.

"Even that is now looking a bit iffy.
Just seen on Sky news.
Ryanair will ground the majority of its fleet over the next 7-10 days. "
They say they could ground their entire fleet in April and May |
