Wonder what the chances are of GC being on a form of lockdown come April ?
Considering that Schools are now closed for at least 2wks.
The annual Carnival has been cancelled.
Gatsby has decided to close and others likely to follow ?
When you look at countries that are already taking measures and the fact that GC receive 1000s of visitors at this time of year, it would be no surprise for GC to protect themselves from that influx.
They already have cases and can expect lots more in the coming weeks.
We are due to fly in 2wks but think it is extremely unlikely. probably due to flights etc. |

I fly 2 weeks today , not looking good , will go if flight goes but I am only accommodation only , hope the shops are open or I might starve.
2 weeks can change the situation , probably for the worst. |

With my work I get regular updates about which countries are stopping flights as soon as they happen, they have stopped the ski flights starting tomorrow and Prague is closing on Monday.
We are due fo ourselves in June so watching it closely.
As soon as I hear anything about caneries or GC I will either put a message on this forum or will create a new post.

Agree don’t look good , looks like the whole of the world will be on lockdown soon ,I’m due to go in June but I know it ain’t going to happen now , as it will get a lot worse than it is now , for sure |

There is a thread from Gatsby club on here. They are closing for 2 weeks from today. They say some businesses and places of entertainment are closing also, hope all is ok for everyone. |

Hope there's some announcement from the GC government.

It reads: "Say Hola to our Spain deals"................sums up their attitude perfectly |

Us too ! Uncertain times, so far we have been told to assume that our holiday is still going on... tomorrow could be a different story |

For anyone that's thinking of going check your insurance covers hospital stay and air transfer home also the European health card covers most but uk persons would want to check that they are still covered under this scheme |

We were due to fly with Jet2 but they’ve cancelled all flights and holidays saying that with bars and clubs shut it will ruin holidays. Our flight is 5th April so not sure if we are affected yet but expecting to be. |

Same here, supose to be flying 2 weeks today, hoping for same txt, look like summer in uk resorts gonna be booming if we have a nice summer. |

Don’t understand why people still saying about going - soz - we decided last night not to go - have lost our money but don’t want to get stuck somewhere (know people quarantined in places now) - this situation is not going to get better anytime soon people #realisation x |

Its clear nobody will be flying out to GC in the coming weeks...don't cancel your holiday as you will lose your money.
Let the airline cancel or wait for FCO to list it as 'only essential travel' and you will get a full refund. |

We too are with TUI and in PDI and heard nothing. However the lockdown starting Monday 16th at 08.00 seems to trump any arrangements any travel operator may or may not have anyway. |
